Official Port of Galveston parking

Galveston lets you reserve official parking online in advance, and doing so is the sensible move. A prepaid reservation guarantees a spot on a busy cruise day and usually costs less than the drive-up rate. Rates run about $20 to $35 per day in 2026, depending on whether you choose an economy surface lot, a garage, or a premium lot, plus port and city fees and Texas sales tax.

Parking by terminal

• Terminals 25 and 28, downtown. Options include the Express Lot, the multi-level garage, and Economy Lots A and B. Economy lots run a free shuttle to the terminals during the day, and lots next to the terminals are walkable.
• Terminal 10, Royal Caribbean. Its own lots along Royal Caribbean Way, about a mile west, including covered and surface options.
• Terminal 16, MSC and Norwegian. The newest terminal has its own parking, so do not assume downtown parking is the right match.

Parking versus the shuttle

Parking makes sense if you are driving in from within Texas. If you are flying into Houston, compare the totals. Multi-day parking plus the drive and fuel often costs more than a $39 shared shuttle seat, and the shuttle means no Causeway traffic, no lot, and a protected seat if your flight runs late.
